Position Objective:

International Academic Alliance at Ningbo University seeks an International Programs Manager to oversee academic programs conducted at the IAA Programs Center located on the campus of Ningbo University. The Programs Manager will manage all academic programs running at the Center, working with a core group of part-time and full-time teaching faculty conducting courses onsite in English, and oversee student advising and admissions processes to American universities, with a focus on MBA program admissions.

The Programs Manager should be a well-rounded individual able to competently and professionally manage multiple responsibilities, including administrative operation of the center; faculty management and master schedules; oversight of academic advising and recruitment, and liaison with the IAA headquarters team in New York.

Program Marketing and Recruitment:

- Provide direction to Ningbo University international department marketing personnel on delivering presentations and events for market and recruiting activities at the Programs Center, such as student fairs and information sessions.
- Develop program and course information presentations in collaboration with IAA New York, and present at program information sessions; local and on-campus recruiting events; and university visits.
- Collaborate with IAA New York to distribute marketing materials for the IAA programs, including all printed materials, program website updates, listservs, forms, etc. within the Center and at marketing events.

Enrollment Management:

- Manage all aspects of prospective and current enrollment in the IAA Programs Center pathway courses.
- Working with the Programs Advisor, interview potential participants to determine fit within the desired program(s).
- Present information to potential participants on all topics related to program, including admission criteria, program track and progression, course requirements, etc. Screen participants and orient potential participants.
- Liaise with IAA headquarters in New York regarding enrollment management, recruitment and management of program offerings.

Center Administration:

- Manage all aspects of course implementation including faculty management, student registration, enrollment and attendance.
- Assist with coordinating and attend local pre-service faculty training sessions.
- Determine needed information for faculty based on program and individual course requirements, prepare information and course management packets for faculty with IAA New York.
- Manage program and student records: Maintain records database of program’s prospective, current, and past students. Monitor and integrate with ongoing recruitment and support communications.
- Oversee collection of survey metrics (pre and post survey of all program participants). Provide recommendations for future Program offerings and updates to the IAA New York office.
- Oversee flow of the IAA NBU Programs Center correspondence.

Non-Essential Functions:

Perform administrative responsibilities as needed for Program Center’s operations implementation, and communications with all constituencies.

Contacts:

In Office: Daily contact with the Programs Advisor, NBU international department support staff, course instructors, and communications IAA New York office on program administration and day-to-day operations.
University at Large: Regular contact with NBU international department staff and/or NBU International Business College leadership.
External: Regular contact with prospective students recruited at large; contacts of marketing related events. Periodic contact with American university officials on program visits and events.
Students: Daily contact with prospective and current students interested in programs at the Center, including students at senior high school, undergraduate and graduate levels.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Programs Advisor: Direct and support the work of Programs Advisor who is the first point of contact for all students.
Course Instructors: Manage course instructors’ teaching and outcomes at the Center.

Qualifications:

Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred from American institution(s). Experience in administrative leadership of international university programs or managing an offsite international education office, combined with a background in teaching either Academic English and/or TOEFL/IELTS. Familiarity with American graduate school admissions and/or MBA programs. Experience with writing reports and managing admissions and recruitment is preferred. Experience and comfort in student environments required.

7. Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database experience required. Ability to learn and use online learning management systems and databases.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced, multitasking university environment. Occasional local travel may be required for presentations and outreach.
