China Development Gateway (CnDG), an online source of development information and tools in China, with the goals to introduce China to the rest of the world.
CnDG is developed and maintained by the China Internet Information Center (china.org.cn) with the support of many other media agencies, institutions of higher learning as well as NGOs.
We work closely with international organizations such as World Bank and FAO, to introduce China’s poverty reduction experience to share development experiences with other countries and contribute to international cooperation, poverty alleviation and development promotion.

Job title: English copy editor
Responsibilities:
* Editing, reporting and writing news reports, feature stories, and opinion articles.
* Assisting in editorial decision-making, including project planning, story selection and page design.
* Communication strategy planning and implementing.
* Helping to train reporters and translators.
The successful candidate must:
* Be a native English speaker with strong writing and editing skills.
* Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and ideally a professional qualification in journalism.
* Be a self-starter and a team player; able to work to deadlines; have a good news sense and some knowledge of Chinese affairs.
*At least two years’ working experience in editing or translation or proofreading.
* Be computer literate.
* Fluent Chinese will be preferred.
