Bonday is looking for instructors for our online creative writing program aimed at Chinese students from grades K2-5. The Bonday Creative Writing Instructor will be responsible for handling essay marking, comments, and recorded feedback for participating students.
Candidate skills include:
Communication Skills: You must be able to speak clearly to students, both through pre-recorded feedback and occasional video conferences with parents.
Language Skills: English fluency is required. Other language skills a plus but not a requirement.
Instruction Skills: You will have to explain new ideas and unfamiliar concepts in grammar, vocabulary, and other English Language Arts skills with authority and in a clear and concise way so that students can understand.
Writing Skills: Writing skills are critical as students will be creating creative writing that responds to various prompts, and an ability to edit and correct their work is essential.
Patience: The students you work with will have different backgrounds and abilities. Patience will help teachers deal with students who act out or have trouble following the material or progressing according to internal measures.
People Skills: Engaging parents students and creating healthy relationships with students will help create a quality learning environment.
Background Requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher in English or a humanities-related field
Experience in copywriting or classroom education preferred
Other Requirements
Remote work available; teachers can work either in China or in their country of origin.
