Job / Programme Description
A well-known American school in Shanghai is looking to hire a High School Math Teacher for August 2024 start. They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of teaching experience. They prefer the candidates to have experience with American, Canadian, or Australian curriculum.

1.Understand and have experience in using backwards design curriculum development and differentiated instruction.
2.Have experience and demonstrated success in teaching Math.
3.Demonstrated success as an enthusiastic teacher who uses a student-centered approach to learning and differentiated teaching strategies to engage all students in active learning.

Client Description
The school is a small, elite college prep high school in Shanghai, China, is partnered with Perkiomen School, a highly rated college prep high school in Pennsylvania. The School’s goal is to educate its students with a rigorous college prep curriculum to be successful in attending universities around the world and to lead happy, healthy, and productive lives beyond university.

The school, located in Sheshan National Tourist Area in Shanghai, is nestled in a valley between Sheshan Mountain and smaller hills. Atop the nearby mountains stands the largest research observatory in Shanghai and a monastery, relocated brick-by-brick from Europe. The local environment in which the school is located provides a unique, New England feel to the school.

Requirements
1.Undergraduate degree in Math; graduate degree in Math.
2.Teaching certificate from US State.
3.Two years of demonstrated successful experience as a teacher.
4.Strong recommendations from previous supervisors.
5. Need to have high school experience with American, Canadian, or Australian curriculum.
