Intern Analyst:
Interns contribute to various aspects of research, analysis, writing and presentation, and business development, depending on interest and language skills. While we cannot specify in advance the nature and sector of specific projects that an Intern may work on, Interns typically have the opportunity to support teams working on diverse client projects as well as internal projects. We have high expectations from all Interns, and treat them on par with regular employees. This results in useful knowledge and skill development in an Asia-oriented research and consulting environment. We periodically offer full-time positions to outstanding Interns. Interns are expected to contribute at an advanced level, particularly with analysis, strategy, and writing.
We typically take on Interns in the following cycles, with some overlap:
1. Spring: January to June (3-6 months)
2. Summer: June to August/September (3 months)
3. Autumn: August/September to December (3-6 months)
4. Winter: December-January (6-8 weeks)
Responsibilities:
Primary and secondary research in English and other language(s) based on ability
Analysis of information
Writing and presentation of findings and recommendations
Business development and proposal writing
Develop internal resources and the firm’s intellectual capital
Increase the profile of the firm by writing white papers etc.
Requirements:
Strong interest in Asia/China
Fluent in English
Hardworking, dedicated, loyal, and able to multi-task
Extremely detail oriented
Ability to communicate on the phone and via email clearly in business English
Currently pursuing a degree or recently completed one from a top institution
Prefer but do not require, native fluency in an additional language of relevance, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Bahasa. We also welcome native fluency in other languages, such as Spanish
We may be able to offer a small monthly stipend to Interns joining us in the Spring, Summer, and Autumn, but Interns are responsible for arranging their own finances for major expenses such as travel and housing.
