Part-time assistant and legal researcher required by foreign lawyer currently working on a book project. Applicants MAY be either Chinese or foreign but MUST have a background in Chinese law, possess a solid understanding of the Chinese legal system, be able to use Chinese law library if needed, and conduct online electronic research. A solid level of spoken English is needed.

The position is best suited to either a recent law graduate looking for a new area of challenge, a law student nearing completion of studies looking to add to an already grinding workload or possibly a practicing lawyer who has the time and interest to take on a new project. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain experience in western law and to improve on their English language skills, written and spoken.

Remuneration is negotiable, depending on ability, experience, aptitude, accuracy and enthusiasm. Please respond with resume and details of availability, experience, and include a brief self – introduction. If mutually satisfactory, the position may lead to full-time.
