Dongguan Manufacturing: PLANT MANAGER
Direct Report to: DG General Manager with dotted line to Director of Global Manufacturing
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for Plant Operations & Maintenance that includes maintaining plant policies & procedures.
Responsible for Plant/s Production Monthly & Weekly goals ensuring all goals are met.
Foster a Dongguan Culture of Respect and Trust and motivate staff & employees in a positive manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
2. Maintain a clean and safe plant.
3. Establish and direct plant’s policies and procedures.
4. Responsible for the plant production goals.
5. Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
6. Foster well-trained and motivated employees.
7. Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of Quality & Performance, in Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, HR/Health & Safety, Customer Service and Sales.
8. Responsible for maintaining a Master Production Schedule and all shift production schedules.
9. Select and train plant shop floor supervisory/ set-up and administrative staff.
10. Conduct employee performance reviews.
11. Schedule and conduct plant/s meetings providing Positive and Informative feedback to Employees.
12. Responsible for the product production quality control for the plant, working closely with the Quality Manager.
13. Attend and Support Customer visits to promote, positive relationships and new business development.
14. Champion – Continuous improvement in the plant including Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma programs
15. Champion the “Cost Reduction” Program plant wide.
16. Review the monthly Dongguan Plant P&L with GM & Director and provide opportunities of improvement.
17. Provide leadership and support to HQ & Dongguan Management in creating a Dongguan Plant operations budget
18. Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings as required.
19. Other duties as assigned by the General Manager & Director of Manufacturing.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. English & Mandarin, Basic reading, writing, & math skills required, thru a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. A four year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
3. Ten to twenty years of manufacturing experience which includes supervisory responsibilities
