We are looking for someone to fill a position that we call Mentor. Mentors support and guide Chinese students to apply to international schools.

You'll be working for our study abroad service at Guangcheng Education headquarters. We are a foreign managed education company with half a dozen schools in Changsha City, provincial capital of the central Chinese province Hunan.

THE ROLE: Mentor
Work directly with high school, undergraduate and graduate level students to complete and submit applications to international schools.
Research university information; support applicants and answer their questions; edit and support applicants to write essays, resumes and other application material; meet with applicants; plan and execute application strategy; conduct mock interviews; build and improve forms and templates; communicate with schools; ensure all application material is accurate and submitted on time.
Own the above responsibilities, manage and improve the application operations process. From the moment our sales team closes you will make sure the setup and application submissions of every applicant goes smoothly and without error.
You will work with a fluent Chinese speaking staff who ensures clear communication and manages the relationship between us and applicants.
Our perfect candidate will bring insightful recommendations for how we can improve our current application operations process as well as possess the drive to get things done and do them better.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Detail-oriented and a near perfectionist. You should have high level organization skills.
Be a great writer and editor.
Able to conduct online research.
Able to use modern web-based technology like cloud storage, task management tools and online university applications.
Project Management experience.
Proven track record of improving processes to make a more effective or efficient product.
Great communicator, with excellent etiquette. You will need to effectively and pleasantly communicate with colleagues, university admissions departments and customers.
Highly developed attention to detail. Applicants turn to us to make sure they don’t make mistakes submitting their applications.
