Job description
Determines market needs, analyses regulatory environment and is responsible for market development strategies and implementation, driving current sales into specific market segments of the food and agricultural industry with aligning marking strategies accordingly. Extensive industry involvement (trade associations, institutions, MN food processors etc.). This position is expected to be a major contributor to the development of the category sales and profitability through the achievement of optimum market shares, strategic positioning and expense control.
Prepares annual strategic plans for each market segment
Actively seeks out market opportunities
Provides detailed direction to sales organization for achievement of business development and key account management
Works with product management on new product ideas based on market and competitive intelligence
Assists with forecasting and attends monthly management meetings

Qualifications
Min. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Agriculture, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genetics etc.; experience in specific food market segments relative to the position description, (i.e., meat and poultry, testing labs, fruit and vegetable), Business-to-Business sales experience in a company that operated within a product management structure and marketing principles, product launch activities and sales support; business development/marketing management experience desired; experience with molecular and ELISA diagnostic sales or applications.
Team leadership skills, project experience and fluency in Mandarin and English are required. Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
