EB Earlybirds is a leading provider of drama, reader’s theater and various ESL courses for the public / bilingual school sector in Shanghai. EB was founded with the support of Shanghai Student Post and aims to become a language arts academy for children.
EB is looking for K-12 English Teachers for K-12 education and after-hours education in our teaching centers, located in Pudong and Puxi Shanghai.
The ideal candidate will:
-have a background in teaching ESL kids phonics, reading and writing
-have proven classroom management skills with primary and/or secondary school students
-be able to join and guide the curriculum development for K-12 phonics, reading and writing courses
-be a proficient user of a standard variety of English
Earlybirds offers:
-a 24-month contract with a net salary of 16,000 to 20,000 RMB, and 3-month probation
-working hours: Total 40 hours per week with no more than 25 lessons a week, each lesson 40-60minutes (with Satursday and Sunday working and two days off in week days)
-10% salary increase after probation
-renewable for an extended period
-flight allowance (RMB8000)
-6 days’ paid leave and pay on all Chinese public holidays
-accident and medical insurance
-training and support for teaching and curriculum developing duties
-assistance with resettlement
Responsibilities include:
-teaching K-12 English course (focus with reading and writing)
-directing and guiding the production of reading programs
-recording and reporting on course contents and student progress
-adhering to high standards of professional conduct

In May and June of 2018, Theatre Anon presented their production of The Little Prince at Earlybirds' black box theater space.
