WLSA Shanghai Academy offers WLSA Curriculum and the core of WLSA Curriculum is WLSA Global Impact Program (WLSA GIP), which is a unique, interdisciplinary, skills-based curriculum that forms the foundation of a holistic vision of high school education in a globalized society, including:

Skill Development Program (SDP), originally collaborated with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), is a project-based learning class. It fosters students’ skills of performing research, critical evaluation, reflective learning, efficient teamwork, and effective communication.
Assimilation and Difference in American Society (ADAS), adapting courses from Harvard-Westlake School, is a primarily Harkness-table learning class. Student analyze and contrast cultural values between the US and China, examining and predicting their own struggles before creating a plan of adaptation to the country. The class structure enables students to engage in a Socratic-seminar environment and learning how to be a productive member in discussion.
Colloquy, originated from the division course from Winchester College in the UK, is a project-based learning class that directly focuses on students’ ability to communicate in a variety of forms. Academic writing, presentation, and teamwork skills are particularly targeted.
Ethics, focuses on moral education, integrity, and ethical responsibility as a part of the international community. Through the course, students gain a wider understanding of ethical issues, particularly those that will affect them around the world.

Job Description:
 Teach one or two of the GIP courses list above
 Planning, preparing and delivering lessons;
 Assigning, correcting and marking work;
 Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment and behavior of students;
 Promoting the general progress and wellbeing of students;
 Providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers;
 Working with other members of the school staff and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of students;
 Reviewing and evaluating one’s own teaching and learning strategies, methodologies in line with WLSA curriculum framework guidelines;
 Participating in-house training program and contributing to the professional development program of school;
 Maintaining good order and discipline amongst students under one’s care and safeguarding their health and safety at all times;
 Nurturing a culture where teachers view themselves essentially as facilitators of learning and reflective practitioners.

Requirements:
 A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in humanities such as social studies, philosophy, history etc.
 Minimum two years teaching experience
 Passion in education and be capable of motivating students and helping shape their futures
 Ability to work well on a team with others
 Ability to differentiate implementation of curriculum
