Bilingual Kindergarten are looking to appoint an experienced leader and manager to serve as Foreign Headteacher in their new Shanghai Kindergarten.
The position will be available from February 2022. The latest possible start date would be May 2022.

Bachelor of Education Degree or First Degree from a recognised University or
College with an accompanying Postgraduate Certificate in Education (or equivalent)
Evidence of Continuing Professional development
At least 5 years Teaching experience and 2 years Management experience.
Proven exemplary classroom practice in an Early Years Setting or Primary School.
Experience working outside of their home country would be desirable.
Working in a bi-lingual Kindergarten or Primary school.
Observing and evaluating teaching and giving feedback teachers.
Monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning leading to effective planning to raise standards.
Effective involvement with parents.
Knowledge and Understanding
Knowledge and experience of working with a recognised Early Years Curriculum most preferably EYFS.
Excellent understanding of curriculum and pedagogical issues particularly those related to the EYFS.
Creative and effective teaching and learning styles to engage, motivate and enable children to progress.
A positive and effective approach to behaviour management.
Experience of managing and appraising staff.
Encouraging parents and carers to work co-operatively with the academy and involve
them in their children’s education.
Recruiting high class teaching and non-teaching staff.
Support the the daily operations of the kindergarten.

Take a lead role in innovative curriculum development.
Contribute to the strategic development of Academy by leading self evaluation exercises.

Organise professional development activities for the EYFS and issues relating to the phase.
