Role: Subject Teacher
Accountable to: Principal, Vice Principal, Director of Study

A teacher’s job description will vary depending on the grade that is being taught; however, general job duties typically include:
Complete 40 hours working per week, with no more than 25 weekly teaching lessons during the day sessions, one/two evening duties where teacher may teach the students, organize a class test or ask the students to do the homework, etc.
Plan, develop and execute lessons that reflect the curriculum and the core educational standards as required.
Develop lesson plans and teaching outlines, and prepare teaching materials as required. These documents will be reviewed by school administration regularly.
Adapt relevant curriculum for the individual, small group, and remedial instruction to meet the needs of identified students or subgroups of students.
Evaluate academic and social progress and relevant ability to make sure students have met courses standards in skills and knowledge.
Help students prepare for standardized testing.
Instruct students to take part in extracurricular activity (including competition, academic activities and interests).
Employ a variety of methodologies in teaching and instructing students, including demonstrations, discussions, and lectures.
Utilize educational equipment, such as materials, books, past papers, and other learning aids.
Deliver routine progress reports as required by the school administration.
Establish and maintain standards of student behaviors.
Maintain a safe learning environment for all students.
Manage students in the classroom.
Highly skilled in a variety of topics related to grade 8-12 students.
Communication with parents is a key component of any teacher’s job.
Some schools require teachers to supervise extracurricular activities, such as a club, etc.
Follow day to day affairs as required.
Attend all kinds of training activities including company’s annual training seminar; technical training seminar, such as power school, and annual teacher training organized by CAVC twice per year.

Bachelor above degree of relevant subject
At least 1 year teaching experience in international high school; IG & A-level experience is preferred;
Native speaker, English Teaching Certificate (TEFL, TESL, TESOL, CELTA, QTS, PGCE, etc.) for ESL teacher;
Documents required for work visa, including CV, degree and notarization, non-criminal record and notarization, termination paper of work permit card from last school, reference letter, etc.
