Job Requirements:
1. At least 10 years purchasing experience in toy industry
2. Fluent in Oral English, able to communicate with headquarters in France and branches in USA/UK/Germany/Spain; Chinese speaking would help in negotiations with local factories
3. Familiar with new supplier development and management process, price negotiation ability, adaptability, strong communication skills, quick thinking, pressure tolerance and sense of responsibility
4. Availability to travel frequently and flexible
5. Strong minded, strong negotiations skills
6. Team player with team leading skills but also strong as individual
Job Description:
1. Review with company head office on new projects and long term goals
2. Review with company head office to gather strategic targets and needs
3. Supply chain management:
a. Selecting new suppliers based on head office needs but also personal vision of future cooperation
b. Frequent supplier meetings to ensure communication flow (volumes, client development, sales market development, purchasing market development, etc.)
c. Review of supplier product line for possible opportunities together
d. Specific meetings twice a year to fix pricing
e. Management of supplier payment terms and payment flow
4. Management of suppliers auditing system
a. Delegation of QA/QC work
b. Reporting analysis of audit status
c. Minimum 1 yearly review of performance (on-time, on-quality, on-price)
5. Factory relationship management (lunch/dinner/entertainment)
6. Support development team during build-up of product line
a. Price counselling/review
b. Cross check feasibility of pricing
c. Abnormal problems during development
7. Reporting
a. Weekly reports on pricing status (confirmed vs unconfirmed)
b. Monthly report on supplier audit status
c. Monthly report on China market update (raw material pricing, labor market, etc.)
Job location and travel requirements:
1. Main location at CT Asia Dongguan office in Zhangmutou town
2. Frequent factory visits in relevant production areas (Guangdong, Zhejiang, possible other areas to add) with longer periods of trips.
3. Fair visits in China and Hong Kong
4. Yearly head office visit in France
