About the School

The school is located in the new city of Tieling in Liaoning province. It is run by an Irishman who has been working in the EFL field for over 13 years. The school is fully licensed and meets all the regulations set out in the recent Double Reduction Policy. The city has some great sights and scenery including a park with beautiful greenery. Furthermore, the new city has little to no pollution making for healthier living. There is a plethora of amenties available including shops, restaurants, supermarkets and high speed rail. The potential for huge savings is high as the cost of living is very low with most teachers saving 80% of income.

Responsibilities

The teacher will be responsible for teaching English as a foreign language to Chinese children in the age range of 4 to 12 years.

The curriculum for the 4 to 6 year olds is focused on speaking, listening, vocabulary development and phonics

The curriculum for the 6 to 12 year olds encompasses speaking, listening reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar.

Though there are lesson plans and lesson plan templates available for most of the curriculum, teachers are still expected to become informed about the lesson beforehand and make necessary preparations.

There is an experienced Chinese teaching assistant available who will be able to help with planning ,preparation, classroom discipline, and translation in the classroom.

The teacher should show consideration for the learning of pupils.



Teaching Hours, Salary, and Vacation

The maximum teaching hours per week is 30 hours.

The salary after tax is 16,000 to 17,000 RMB per month

The months of January and July may require that the teacher teach beyond the expected teaching hours, In this case, additional salary will be provided.

The vacation months are February and August and include a basic salary. If there is extra work available during these months, it will be optional and the remuneration can be negotiated.

The teacher will have 1 to 2 days off per week.



Accommodation

A fully-kitted out apartment will be provided to the teacher rent free for the duration of the contract. It will be located 5 minutes on foot from the school.

The winter heating and annual internet fee will be paid for by the school.

All other utility bills will be borne by the teacher.

Visa

The school can provide teachers currently working in China with a unified work permit Class B and work-type residence permit. For teachers on other permits, please apply and more information will be provided.
