Our division is currently looking for one IB English teacher and one English literature teacher.
•Applicants must be native speakers of English with an academic background or professional training in English literature or linguistics. Any teacher with IB English A or English B teaching experiences is preferred.
•Teachers are expected to work independently, creating their own lesson plans and getting themselves familiar with the school’s curriculum requirement. Meanwhile, teamwork spirit is also appreciated in the community and we aim to create an inclusive and respectful environment.
•Expected workload for each teacher will be 16-20 classes per week with each class lasting for 40 minutes, plus 2-3 morning reading sessions with each session lasting for 15 mins.
•Applicants should also expect to work across two or even three grades with different cohorts of students who belong to different curricula simultaneously.
Our division values the growth of our teachers and all teachers are provided with the opportunity to attend IB, AP, and A-Level workshops.
PS. We are a government-owned public school so we only observe national holidays, which means there will be no Christmas or Thanksgiving break, and our summer break usually begins in Mid-July. There will be approximately 10 weeks of paid leave each year.
