Front of House: Sales & Marketing
To assist the Co-Principals and DAM in whole school marketing initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the school.
Together with the Co-Principals and DAM identify ways to promote greater parental involvement in the school in order to create parental advocates.
Together with the Co-Principals and DAM promote a well-organised, clutter, free and aesthetically pleasing environment that promotes and celebrates our high expectations.
To support the Co-Principals and DAM in meeting prospective parents where required.
Student growth continues to be strong.
PTA active across all phases and involved in enriching the school community.
All sites look well organised to the casual visitor and promote an image of a high achieving school.

Leadership in Learning & Training
Alongside the DSL, be responsible for child safeguarding in the school and promote this as a priority across the school.
To be responsible for the safe day-to-day running of the relevant phase.
To lead academic strategy, in conjunction with the Co-Principals, Vice Principal and ALT and those staff responsible for assessment, across the school, in line with the stated mission and core values.
To oversee academic monitoring and evaluation cycles; ensure the delivery of consistently high academic standards and promote a ‘love of learning’ throughout the school.
To monitor student attainment and progress throughout the school providing feedback to the Schools Academic Performance Board (SAPB) and regional Link Advisor.
To monitor and evaluate academic standards in line with NAE and school procedures, including benchmarking against other schools and against appropriate international and UK standards.
To ensure the development and consistent delivery of assessment, recording and reporting systems built around ISAMS to provide accurate and useful information to stakeholders.
To oversee an ongoing review of academic policies and procedures with Deputy Heads, Grade and curriculum leaders.
To work with the Principal and Leadership Team to review/revise the school’s guiding statements as the need arises.
To promote an ethos in the relevant phase that promotes of philosophy of “Be Ambitious”.
To oversee curriculum development throughout the school with a particular focus on personalising learning to ensure the delivery of an academic programme that challenges our most able students.
To contribute to the development and delivery of an ECA/ASA programme that complements and supports our academic curriculum in line with our core values.
To encourage curriculum leaders to keep up to date with and share information on national and international developments in all curriculum areas, and with advances in teaching practice, pedagogy and methodology.
To encourage curriculum leaders to monitor and respond to all curriculum initiatives in China, International, UK, and NAE levels
To act as a positive role model, by demonstrating our core values in dealing with staff, parents and students.
To promote a collaborative approach to teaching and learning and to encourage staff to be reflective, to share high quality teaching strategies and build effective working relations.
Children feel safe in school and there are robust procedures for dealing with child protection issues.
School runs effectively and safely – activities have risk assessments where appropriate.
Academic performance remains consistently high across all phases. Teachers continue to promote a sense of fun within lessons and students continue to demonstrate high levels of engagement, commitment and enthusiasm.
ISAMS is fully integrated into school reporting and staff are confident users. Firefly launched and maintained. Regularly updated and communications are to the expected high standards.
Academic policies are reviewed and up to date.

Operational Expertise & Resource Management
To have overall responsibility for timetabling and ensuring that are used effectively and shared resources are maximized and appropriately managed.
To assist the Principals and Vice Principal in meeting recruitment challenges while achieving a PTR in line with NAE targets.
To support the development of and implementation of a School Development Plan.
To monitor spending of academic resource budgets in the phase to ensure value for money and effective deployment of resources.
Timetables ensure that all phases get an appropriate allocated use of shared facilities. Cross campus staff are effectively used.
PTR is gradually improved while negative impact on educational provision is minimised.
SDP is effectively managed, and progress is tracked and monitored

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS – Skills Knowledge and Experience
Qualified Teacher status with a minimum of five to seven years teaching experience.
An excellent working knowledge of the Chinese National Curriculum (National).
An excellent working knowledge of the IPC/IB/International Curricula (International).
Up to date knowledge of curriculum developments
Proven leadership and people management skills as Head of School.
Proven curriculum management/development skills.
Proven ability to develop good personal relationships within a team.
An effective communicator (written and verbal) to a variety of audiences.
High level of IT competency.
Passionate about delivering quality education.
Willing to act as a role model to earn the respect of pupils, colleagues, and parents.
A strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to school improvement.

International or Bilingual school experience.
Experience of timetable construction.

Budget management experience.
