Line manager Academic coordinator and Executive principle

The main purpose
• Lead teacher in class
• Provide a high standard of teaching and learning for children in accordance with the company’s curriculum
• Maintain an enabling physical and emotional environment that is stimulating and developmentally appropriate
• Work as part of the team to enable the Brand to continue to deliver an outstanding standard

Qualifications and knowledge
A native speaker is a requirement. (English as a first language)

Preferred: Degree in Early childhood education, or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). With Qualified Teacher status

• Degree and TEFL, TESOL.
• 2 years of teaching experience in early years education.
• Professional English language skills regarding writing.

Professional expectations
• Comply with child protection procedures, health and safety, security, confidentiality, data protection, and reporting any concerns to the relevant member of staff.
• Support the Brands values and policies.
• Maintains professional boundaries with families.
• Teamwork supporting the Brand including marketing events.
• High-quality lesson planning, preparation, and implementation in accordance with the curriculum.

Support and care of children, Child Interactions
• Be available and responsive to children’s needs, questions, and requests.
• Interact and communicate with individual children during activities and routines (communicate directly with each child at their level).
• Respect and observe children’s interests. Intervene when needed to maintain safety.
• Enhance children’s play with age-appropriate language, toys, and activities.
• Creation of an enabling environment based on the interests of the children.
Support for positive behaviour
• Consistent, positive discipline techniques in guiding children’s behaviour.
• Encourage and model social behaviour and expectations that are developmentally appropriate.
• Ensure children know the expectations of the classroom.

Health & safety, and nutrition.
• Ensure all sick children go to the school nurse.
• Organize the classroom to ensure safety.
• Ensure all members of the team adhere to hygiene policies at all times.
• Promote and monitor good eating habits.

Risk assessment
• Monitor safety hazards throughout the day and remind TA to supervise the safety of students during enrichment classes.
• Conduct regular safety audits of the classroom.

• Maintain safety, and cleanliness of the environment and equipment.
• Arrange and organize the classroom to maximize learning.
• Use ‘tidy-up' time as a learning experience and teach children to care for their own environment.

Personal care
• Teach self-help skills to encourage independence.
• Work with co-workers to ensure that each child's personal needs (physical and emotional) are met as appropriate.

• Check hygiene procedures are followed.
• Teach, model, and encourage good hygiene habits.

• Purchase teaching supplies adhering to the classroom budget.
• Ensure sensible storage and use of resources.
• To ensure that all resources that are used are appropriate for the children’s development and age.

Curriculum teaching
• Lead teacher in charge of curriculum delivery.
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program that provides children opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• To incorporate the curriculum into the classroom environment.

• Create a unit plan, schedule, and lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.
• Develop and collect appropriate teaching materials.
• Upload and manage files and documents in accordance with the company policy.
• Communicate the schedule to the parents on time each week.

• Formative and summative assessments of children are to be conducted in accordance with the policies.

• Create an environment that meets the child's personal development level, physical and emotional needs, current interests, and diverse family culture.
• Regular update of display boards in classrooms and hall to showcase learning (include labels).
• Update the learning environment regularly in relation to the theme.

• Check observations and photos that will be uploaded to the parents on Brightwheel, WeChat, or CloudSchool.
• Ensure that all members of your team are following the policies of the brand.

Field trips
• Plan field trips following correct procedures.

Parent communication professionalism
• Build professional relationships with families following the parent communication policy.
• Be responsible for oral and written communication with parents on childcare and teaching activities.

• Participate in the observations and/or home visits of potential new children as required.
