Makes a complete assessment of all assigned patients on admission / at the beginning of the shift so as to plan the activities in order of priority while applying principles of safe patient care.
To provide hands-on care to patients by administering medications, managing intravenous lines, observing and monitoring patients' conditions, maintaining records and communicating with doctors.
To plan for and carry out all procedures of patient care including administration of medication according to standing instructions, assisting Doctors in various medical and surgical diagnostic procedures, performing diagnostic procedures, collecting and sending of specimens to lab, prepares patient for operations.
Upholds the nursing code of ethics and acts as a role model to other staff members.
9 Co-ordinate patient care with the various health team members.
Maintain the confidentiality of the assigned patient.
Carry out routine check at each handover that all equipments are in working order.
