Requirements:
✓ Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field such as Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Music, Dance, Drama, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
✓ Knowledge of stagecraft, technical production, and event management is a plus.  Valid teaching license and credential in performing arts education.
✓ Proven experience as a performing arts educator, preferably at the high school level
✓ Two years teaching experience in relevant performing arts education.

Job duties:
✓ Teach 20 periods per week of any or a combination of the following: Music, Stagecraft, Theater-Drama, Dance, and Electives
✓ Be comfortable working with advanced and motivated students who have strong academic backgrounds
✓ Work on curriculum development, which includes preparing effective diverse lesson units based on the school’s curriculum development formats using the Understanding by Design (UbD).
✓ Maintain and update timely student records including grading (homework, grade books, progress reports, report cards, student attendance, and other required documents
✓ Instruct students in one or more disciplines, such as drama, music, choir, dance, or a combination thereof.
✓ Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic expression, collaboration, and risk-taking.
✓ Guide students in honing their techniques, choreography, and musical proficiency
✓ Participate in school wide events and house advisory.
✓ Take an active role in required meetings (departmental; grade level; committees, faculty; etc.) ✓ Assist with additional duties as assigned
