Teaching and Scientific Research
1. Materials Science and Engineering research fellow
1) Teaching: 64 academic hours per academic year, or at least 2 academic presentations per month.
2) Research: a. paticipating in application and undertake scientific research projects; b. publishing at least 1 English SCI paper as the first author per year.
3) Discipline construction: assisting in planning, assessment and development of Mechiancal Engineering platform.
4) Public management & service: participating in meeting, activities assigned by research team or college.
5) Others: completing the temporary work assigned by research team or college.
2. Resources, Environment & Circular Economy research fellow
1) Teaching: 64 academic hours per academic year, or at least 2 academic presentations per month.
2) Research: a. participating in application and undertake scientific research projects; b. publishing at least 1 English SCI paper as the first author per year.
3) Discipline construction: assisting in planning, assessment and development of Mechiancal Engineering platform.
4) Public management & service: participating in meeting, activities assigned by research team or college.
5) Others: completing the temporary work assigned by research team or college.
3. Chemical Engineering and Technology research fellow
1) Teaching: no less than 5 teaching periods per week.
2) Research: a. applying independently with Beijing University of Technology as the first unit, undertaking or jointly applying with teachers in Beijing University of Technology, for provincial or ministerial level scientific research projects and gain a certain achievement; b. publishing at least 1 SCI paper or 1 patent per year with Beijing University of Technology as the first or corresponding author; c. assisting in undertaking teaching tasks of the research group and guiding 1-2 undergraduates and 1-2 postgraduates.
3) Discipline construction: support the construction of faculty's platform, subject evaluation, degree evaluation, etc.
4) Public management & service: a. assisting the College of International Education in liaison work for graduated international students; b. completing teaching tasks of the International Office and the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs; c. assisting the College of International Education in the organization and development of related courses and international exchange activities; d. assisting the College of Material Science and Engineering in the organization and development of related international exchange activities.
5) Others: other tasks from the university and college.

Currently, BJUT has 26,519 full-time students, including over 11,059 graduate students. BJUT students have been nominated for and awarded the "Top 100 national excellent doctoral theses of China" prize for 21 times, ranking among the top institutions in China and first among all local universities. Since its establishment, BJUT has cultivated over 180,000 graduates who are now playing their important roles of building the future in all walks of life. In the meanwhile, BJUT is home to 367 international students.
BJUT adheres to the principle of "strengthening the university through talents".
