Responsibility
1.Served as the head of the kindergarten and be responsible for its the daily operation, including but not limited to administration, education and student learning, student health care, student diet, quality of teaching, teacher development, etc.
2. Set goals and action plans of each semester/academic year and lead and engage the KG staff to implement the plans.
3.Support the staff to carry out teaching activities and to manage students with due diligence to ensure safety, and orderly and efficient operation of the KG;
4.To prepare annual financial budget and final accounts, and report them to the Principal and the financial department of the school for approval.
5.Be responsible for the communication with the Principal’s office and other Divisions of the school regarding matters related to school administration. 6.Be responsible for the declaration, evaluation, material preparation and documentation required by the local education authorities and ensure that the kindergarten is rated as qualified by the local education authorities in the annual special evaluation;
7. Be responsible for communication and coordination with relevant educational and governmental departments, such as the Education Bureau of District and Shanghai
Municipal Education Commission. Prepare and receive evaluation, inspection and guidance from
higher governmental departments.
8.Be responsible for parental involvement and parental communication of the KG. Actively promote the education and image of the KG in the immediate and larger community.
9.Collaborate with the Marketing and Admission department of the school to carry out the work of student recruitment, ensure the KG meets the annual student recruitment target. 10.Assisted the Group in the formulation and implementation of the strategic planning related to
the preschool education, including, but not limited to, working out kindergarten operation
planning and providing professional guidance and active assistance in the process of market
development.
11. Other matters assigned by the Principal and the Vice Principal
Specific Responsibilities
PYP Coordinator and general oversight of teaching and learning matters in relation tostaff, students and parents
Develop whole school learning culture
Maintain open communication with Kindergarten staff regarding curriculum
Lead, support and manage the Kindergarten’ curriculum team leaders
Specific Description
Communication
Ensure all relevant IB communication is shared with all staff
Enable all communication and collaboration among all staff involved in implementing the program
Conduct parent information sessions
Publish articles pertaining to the program in the Newsletter
Prepare and submit any documentation required for Program Authorization and Evaluation
Ensure all requirements and procedures set by the IB concerning the program are adhered to
Provide a liaison between the kindergarten and the IB
Communicate to the wider community through a variety of media, including contact with school and kindergarten visits
Promote International Mindedness throughout the Kindergarten
Professional Development
Ensure all staff members are made aware of professional development opportunities available and encourage participation
Organize induction of new staff to the PYP
Make recommendations regarding training opportunities on and off Campus
Keep a record of workshops and school visits in order to achieve equality of opportunity
and identify ongoing needs
Assist teams or individuals in developing units of inquiry
Arrange for own professional development needs
Arrange to attend PYP workshops and keep up to date with new developments within the PYP
Resource Management
Manage the resource budget for the PYP program communicating with the Vice Principal, Kindergarten Principal and Head of the Finance as required
Facilitate the purchase of suitable resources to support the implementation of the program
in consultation with the Vice Principal of
Have an oversight of the integration of digital technologies into the Learning and
Teaching program
Encourage staff, parents and students to identify people in the community and resources
that can be used to support the program.
