Position: International high school in Guangzhou, Literature teacher
-No. Hiring: 1
-Location: Guangzhou City
-Schedule: Mon. to Fri., weekends off
-Class size: 25-30 students
-Length of class:40 minutes
-Students age group: 16-18 years old
-Teaching material provided
-Salary:30-40K
-Holidays: All Chinese statutory holidays provided and paid; winter vacation
-Visa: work visa, work permit and residence permit
-Others: Airport support, up to 750 RMB Hotel reimbursements, All paid public holidays, Accident insurance, Job orientation and on-going training, Delicious Chinese food and amazing working experience, Career advancement opportunities
Job Description:
i. Planning, preparing and delivering of lessons,
ii. Assigning, reviewing and marking of students’ work,
iii. Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment and behaviour of
students,
iv. Promoting the general progress and well-being of students,
v. Providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers,
vi. Working with other members of the school staff and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of students,
vii. Reviewing and evaluating one’s own teaching and learning strategies, methodologies in line with LIA curriculum framework guidelines,
viii. Participating in-house and/ or external training program and contributing to the professional development program of school,
ix. Maintaining good order and discipline among students under one’s care and safeguarding their health and safety at all times;
x. Nurturing a culture where teachers view themselves as facilitators of learning and reflective practitioners, counselling to the social and emotional needs of students, and to be a significant adult
(role-modelling) to students and peers alike.
