Native Secondary English Teacher

Job responsibilities:

- Teach English to secondary students using engaging methods that cater to different learning needs and meet curriculum requirements
- Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with school policies and promote positive behavior management
- Regularly assess and track student progress using a variety of evaluation methods
- Contribute to the subject's strategic action plan
- Actively participate in department and staff meetings
- Use data to display student performance and create personalized action plans for growth
- Continuously reflect on and improve teaching methods to enhance student learning
- Implement safeguarding measures to ensure student safety in the classroom
- Participate in professional development programs to stay updated on subject knowledge and teaching strategies
- Attend Parent-Teacher Conferences and engage in academic and pastoral events
- Communicate effectively with parents about student academic progress and respond to concerns in line with school policies
- Carry out additional duties as required based on the school’s schedule
- Uphold and embody the school’s values both on and off-campus

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- At least three years of teaching experience in international curricula (IB, A-Level, IGCSE)
- Native-level English speaker
- Strong classroom management skills; experience in organizing extra-curricular activities is a plus
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to a long-term role
- Excellent cross-cultural awareness and adaptability
- Experience and understanding of both Chinese and Western education systems
- Respect for and compliance with school regulations and policies
