Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Primary STEM Teacher for a bilingual primary school in Ningbo. This role involves developing and delivering STEM-focused curriculum in line with both national and International Baccalaureate (IB) standards, ensuring that all students have access to a stimulating and inclusive STEM learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Create and implement a comprehensive, IB-aligned STEM curriculum that accommodates diverse learning needs and fosters intellectual curiosity.
- Instructional Excellence: Teach approximately 25 engaging STEM lessons weekly, using proven, student-centered teaching practices.
- Positive Learning Environment: Foster a classroom atmosphere that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
- Real-World Relevance: Stay updated on STEM advancements, incorporating technology and hands-on experiences that relate to real-world applications.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with fellow educators to integrate STEM learning across other subjects, promoting a holistic learning environment.
- Student Assessment & Support: Regularly evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and customize support for individual growth.
Essential Duties
- Establish a student-centered learning environment per school guidelines.
- Adhere to policies on safeguarding, health, safety, and confidentiality.
- Differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs and assign homework in line with school policies.
- Monitor students’ social and academic development, engaging with the school’s pastoral care system as needed.
- Participate in co-curricular programs and professional development opportunities.
- Support admissions and marketing efforts by providing program information to prospective families.
- Contribute to an inclusive, prejudice-free school environment, promoting equality and diversity.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field from an accredited institution.
- National or State-issued teaching license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally in a STEM-focused role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in English (native or fluent level).
- Familiarity with the IB curriculum and international teaching experience.
