Role and responsibilities:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Software Developer to join our experienced software development team. This role is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. And will report directly to the Software Development Manager and assist with providing technical knowledge and insight to customers using our application to drive printers manufactured in China. The team delivers industry-leading software that drives large format sign production, direct-to-garment, direct-to-film, and engraving machines. To ensure success as an Associate Software Developer, the candidate should have a good working knowledge of the print industry, the ability to learn new technology quickly and can perform well both in team environments and independently.

Skills: (Technical & Behavioural)

• 3+ years’ experience in the print industry or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math or related field of study
• Ability to travel to customer sites to gather requirements for integration with new printers, and providing guidance on new integrations as required
• Participate in printer integration software development, in collaboration with our Software Development team in Ottawa, Canada
• Exceptional written and communication skills in Chinese and English
• High proficiency in English with the ability to convey key information and findings to the team and customers
• Ability to attend some evening meetings with our Ottawa team
• Ability and enthusiasm to learn new software and technologies quickly
• Behavioural Skills: Should have strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, accountability, strategic orientation, take initiative, learnability, strong decision-making capabilities
