Nationality Preference: Native English Speaker, preferably from the USA
Age Requirement: Under 45 years old
Teaching Experience: Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in American High School curriculum, especially in World History and U.S. History
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Foreign Teacher to join our international school community in Suzhou. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching World History and U.S. History to students in grades 15-18. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic excellence of our school while experiencing the vibrant culture of Suzhou.
Job Details
• Teaching Start Date: August 2025
• Duration: Academic year of 2024-2025 (with possible renewal for an additional year)
• Number of Positions: 1-2
• Teaching Hours: No less than 20 class hours per week (40 minutes per class)
• Office Hours: None
• Working Hours: 08:30 AM - 16:00 PM (Monday to Thursday); Finish at 4:00 PM on Friday
• Contract Length: 1-2 years
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the American High School curriculum in World History and U.S. History.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students aged 15-18.
• Provide regular assessments and feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
• Monthly Salary: Competitive, before tax, ranging from 23,000 to 25,000 RMB per month
• Flight Allowance: Provided
• Housing Allowance: Yes, including an apartment
• Winter Holiday: 2 months (half-paid)
• Summer Holiday: 1 month (half-paid)
• Spring Festival Holiday: 14 days
• Other Holidays: All Chinese public holidays and Christmas holidays are provided
