Overview of position:
The instructor is responsible for teaching assigned classes in accordance with Berlitz instruction principles (Method®); for maintaining student class records and fulfilling administrative duties within their instructor position as required or requested.
Instructor Aim:
• To deliver high quality language instruction following the basic principles and techniques of Berlitz focused on the interests and needs of the students, working with private students and groups of differing sizes at the Language Centre (LC) and at off-site locations
• Maximized student participation
• to be on time for all lessons – In-person / Online
• to teach both children and adults as assigned
• to be on time into the Learning Center(LC) and into all lessons
• to teach both children and adults as assigned
• to teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students of all ages
• to be prepared to teach groups, large classes, and corporate clients both at the LC and at company/client locations
• to ensure all relevant information is updated in daily administration tasks (ped cards, teacher daily schedule slips, student sign sheets, instructor records, HR forms etc…)
• to align behavior with the Five Berlitz Operating Principles

Qualifications / Related Experience
• Educated native proficiency / near-native fluency in the language s/he will teach
• Cultural sensitivity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Successful completion of the Berlitz instructor training (IQP)
• Teaching experience and/or qualifications desired, but not essential

for the instructors locations, as these are out classes and instructor needs to travel to these locations,
