Science Teacher for IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) - Guangzhou International School
Location: Guangzhou Huangpu District
Job Position: MYP Science Teacher
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Science teacher to join our international school in Guangzhou. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching MYP Science courses to students in Grades 6 to 10. The role involves delivering engaging and effective lessons, developing students' scientific inquiry skills, and fostering a passion for science within a diverse and dynamic learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Teach MYP Science courses to students in Grades 6 to 10, covering a range of scientific disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the MYP curriculum framework and assessment criteria.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver interdisciplinary units and projects.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's science program.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in MYP or DP Science.
• Valid teaching qualification/certificate.
• Strong understanding of the MYP curriculum and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English is essential. Chinese language skills are an advantage but not required.
Benefits:
• Monthly salary range: CNY 35,000 to 45,000.
