Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. As the primary educator for a class of young learners (ages 2-6), you will play a pivotal role in fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development during this critical early childhood stage.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, integrating play-based learning, creative activities, and foundational academics (e.g., basic numeracy, literacy, and social skills).
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and positive peer interactions.
Build strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs, strengths, and learning styles to provide personalized support.
Collaborate with parents/guardians through regular communication (e.g., newsletters, parent-teacher conferences) to share progress updates and coordinate home-school initiatives.
Partner with other teachers, teaching assistants, and staff to plan school-wide events, themed activities, and developmental assessments.
Monitor and document student progress, using observations and informal assessments to adjust teaching strategies and ensure developmental milestones are met.
Maintain a well-organized classroom, managing daily routines (e.g., snack time, nap time, outdoor play) to promote structure and independence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification/license in early childhood education.
Proven experience working as a kindergarten teacher or in a similar early childhood setting.
Deep understanding of child development theories and early learning best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young children, parents, and colleagues.
Creativity and enthusiasm for designing engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a dynamic classroom environment.
Proficiency in basic educational technology and classroom management tools.
