Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced MYP Drama or Performing Arts Teacher to join our international school community in Shanghai. The successful candidate will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and strong expertise in theatre education, with proven experience leading student performances and productions.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach MYP Drama or Performing Arts to middle school students (Grades 6–10).

Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework, emphasizing creativity, expression, and collaboration.

Direct and coordinate school drama performances, showcases, or musical productions.

Encourage students to explore various aspects of performance, including acting, stagecraft, scriptwriting, and production.

Collaborate with other teachers to create interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events.

Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress according to MYP criteria.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.

At least 3 years of teaching experience in MYP Drama or Performing Arts (or equivalent international curriculum).

Demonstrated experience in directing or leading drama productions independently.

Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.

Strong commitment to student-centered and inquiry-based learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching license or PGCE certification.

Prior experience in an international or bilingual school setting.

Familiarity with IB philosophy and MYP assessment standards.
