Key Responsibilities
1. Teach English language and literature courses to students in Grades 1-6 using a full English immersion approach.
2. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that integrate phonics, storytelling, interactive games, and project-based learning.
3. Manage classroom activities, assess student progress, and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
4. Organize school events such as English reading weeks, poetry recitals, and cultural celebrations to foster a love for the English language.
5. Collaborate with the school's Chinese and English faculty to ensure a balanced and comprehensive educational experience.
Job Requirements
1. Native English speaker with a clear and standard accent, strong verbal and written communication skills.
2. Dedicated to primary education, with a deep understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
3. Creative, energetic, and able to design engaging lessons that cater to different learning abilities.
4. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
5. Willing to work within the school's academic calendar and participate in professional development activities.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or above in English, Primary Education, TESOL, or a related field.
2. Hold a recognized TESOL/TEFL certificate (minimum 120 hours).
3. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in primary schools or international early childhood education settings.
4. Knowledge of the national English curriculum and experience in developing cross-cultural educational content is preferred.
5. A clean criminal background check, good health, and legal eligibility to work in China.

The school’s International Department delivers a program curriculum aligned with the American Common Core State Standards that is similar to that of its sister school in the USA, The MacDuffie School in Granby, Massachusetts. The instructional language of this International Program is English.
