A respected international school in Shanghai Pudong is seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to join its Senior School academic team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Mathematics teacher to work within a high-quality international school environment, delivering engaging Mathematics lessons while contributing to the wider academic, pastoral, and co-curricular life of the school.

Role: Teacher of Mathematics

Contract: 2 or 3 years
Hours: Full-time
Reporting to: Head of Mathematics
Classification: Academic Staff

Key Responsibilities
Plan, resource, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for Senior School students
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Create a supportive classroom culture where students feel confident to participate and succeed
Track student progress effectively
Support safeguarding, wellbeing, pastoral care, and form tutor responsibilities
Contribute to co-curricular and enrichment programmes
Participate in professional learning, staff meetings, parent events, training days, and school events
Maintain high professional standards and support the wider values of the school

Candidate Requirements
Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
Experience with ENC, IGCSE, and/or IBDP
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional, flexible, and hard-working attitude
Commitment to pastoral care, student welfare, and supervisory duties
Continuous professional learning mindset
Strong attention to detail and high standards
International school experience preferred
