Primary English Teacher Recruitment (G1/G2) - Hainan International School
We are a well-established international school located in Hainan, China—a vibrant coastal city renowned for its pleasant tropical climate, beautiful beaches and booming international atmosphere, especially with the accelerated development of Hainan Free Trade Port. Committed to providing high-quality international education, we are now seeking a passionate Native English-speaking Primary English Teacher to join our warm and professional team, focusing on Grade 1 and Grade 2 (G1/G2) students.
Position: Primary English Teacher (G1/G2)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons to G1/G2 students, focusing on cultivating their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a fun and immersive environment.
- Adopt child-centered teaching methods (such as games, songs, stories and TPR total physical response method) to stimulate young students’ interest in English learning and adapt to the characteristics of low-grade primary school students’ attention and learning habits.
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe classroom atmosphere that promotes students’ holistic development—academically, socially and emotionally.
- Collaborate with Chinese teaching colleagues to optimize teaching content, integrate English-speaking culture into daily teaching and assist in completing school’s English teaching objectives.
- Communicate regularly with parents to feedback students’ learning progress and participate in school-related activities, such as English corners and campus English events.
Requirements
- Native English speaker (from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.) with authentic pronunciation.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in any major; TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- No prior primary school teaching experience is required—we highly welcome candidates who are looking to transition from kindergarten teaching to primary school education, with experience in working with young children being a great advantage.
- Passionate about education, patient, caring and good at communicating with low-grade primary school students.
- Willing to comply with the school’s teaching management regulations and respect Chinese education culture and customs.
- Able to obtain a valid work visa in China and provide a clean criminal record and health certificate (to be notarized if required).
Salary & Benefits (Highly Competitive)
- Monthly Salary: RMB 23,000 - 28,000 (before tax), commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
- Accommodation: Free on-campus accommodation is provided, or a monthly housing subsidy of RMB 2,000 is available for your choice.
