Job Description: Primary STEAM Teacher & Middle School ICT Teacher

About the Roles

We are seeking two passionate and innovative educators to join our team:

One Primary STEAM Teacher (Grades 1–5)
One Middle School ICT Teacher (Grades 6–8)
Both roles focus on developing future-ready skills through engaging, student-centered learning. While the STEAM role emphasizes integrated, project-based learning across disciplines, the ICT role focuses on digital literacy, computational thinking, and responsible technology use.

Part 1: Primary STEAM Teacher

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver hands-on, inquiry-based STEAM lessons for Grades 1–5.
Design cross-curricular projects integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
Introduce age-appropriate technologies (e.g., Scratch Jr., Bee-Bots, simple robotics).
Encourage design thinking, creativity, and collaboration through group challenges.
Assess student progress using formative and summative methods.
Manage classroom materials and ensure safe use of tools and devices.
Support school events such as STEAM fairs, makerspaces, or innovation weeks.
Collaborate with homeroom and specialist teachers to embed STEAM across subjects.
Qualifications – Primary STEAM

Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, state license).
Minimum 2 years of primary teaching experience, ideally in STEAM or integrated curriculum.
Familiarity with coding, robotics (e.g., LEGO WeDo), and makerspace tools.
Native or fluent English proficiency (C1+).
Preferred

Experience with PYP or inquiry-based frameworks.
Passion for arts integration and creative problem-solving.
Part 2: Middle School ICT Teacher

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a structured ICT curriculum for Grades 6–8 (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, internet research, databases).
Teach fundamental programming using Scratch, Python, or HTML/CSS.
Promote digital safety, cyber ethics, file management, and troubleshooting.
Assess student projects, tests, and portfolios; provide timely feedback.
Integrate ICT skills into cross-curricular projects with other subjects.
Manage the school’s virtual learning environment (e.g., Google Classroom, Teams).
Troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues and promote responsible device use.
Organize or support school tech events, coding clubs, or Digital Citizenship Week.
Qualifications – Middle School ICT

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Education, or related field.
Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, state license).
Minimum 2 years of teaching ICT/Computer Science at middle school level.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and beginner-to-intermediate programming.
Strong understanding of digital citizenship and internet safety.
Excellent English communication skills.
Preferred

Experience with Cambridge ICT Starters, IB MYP Design, or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with robotics (e.g., Micro:bit, Arduino) or multimedia tools.
