The Paico team is seeking web developers to design, implement, and extend their applications. This team member will be able to work with multiple teams' requirements and translate needs to tangible, large scale software.
Responsibilities:
• Help define and build high-performance, high-scalability, high-availability web infrastructure
• Contribute to architectural decisions in the overall web system
• Must be flexible in a technically complex, fast changing environment with multiple constraints
• Work with design, quality, product and technical teams to define and implement consumer-facing interface
• Maintain pulse on the latest trends and emerging technologies on the web and their application within the business
Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of programming experience in web development; architecture experience a plus
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP), code optimization practices, and software design principles
• Knowledge of open standards
• Experience in UI technologies: HTML5, CSS3, XML, Javascript (Ajax, jQuery, JSON)
• Competence in relational database design, creation, access and optimization (MySQL preferred)
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of web application development utilities.
• Consume and create web services (XML RPC, SOAP)
• Familiarity with Subversion (SVN), CVS, or git
• Able to write and debug cross-browser web applications (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome)
• Comfortable working in a Windows OS / WAMP environment
• Experience with integrating 3rd party API and web services
• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, mathematics, or equivalent work experience
Bonus qualifications:
• Agile development experience (XP/Scrum)
• Background in marketing/advertising environments
• Familiarity of information architecture or user experience
• Ecommerce platform experience
