Emerging Strategy a Market Intelligence agency is looking for a Business Development Associate with a penchant for cold calling to firstly promote the company and its services, followed by setting up appointments for the Sales team.
This position will require cold calling and will be focused on contacting fortune 500 companies in the APAC region.
Concurrently the individual will assist a seasoned and experienced sales producer helping in transactional duties while building up the academic knowledge to be able to present, market and follow through with deals independently.
This individual should be a persistent self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills, exhibit attention to detail and have a broad range of interpersonal skills. Experience in Market Intelligence is not a must, but being comfortable with pitching prospective clients is.
Job Outline:
• Development of a strong understanding of company structure and product
• Cold calling and setting appointments for Sales
• Working closely with the delivery team to understand the projects and methodology
• Work effectively with Sales to ensure smooth handover of prospective Clients
• Maintain and update database information based on calls made, and correct/replace invalid data
Job Requirements:
• Cold-calling experience
• Strong negotiation, and presentation skills and the ability to secure meetings
• Highly motivated attitude towards achieving and exceeding targets
• Attention to detail, organised and process driven
• Proactive and use initiative
• MS Office (Word, Excel and Power point)
• Practical experience and familiar with enterprise CRM system (e.g. Salesforce)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Outgoing personality
• Self-motivated, independent and able to take initiative
• Past Sales Experience a plus
• Native English Speaker
• Achieve weekly/monthly KPIs to ensure a high and consistent level of activity such as activities, meetings
• Current visa status for China (candidates without a visa are only applicable for a work permit if they graduated in or before 2014 and have at least two years’ work experience)
• At least six months commitment to Emerging Strategy and China
