Strategic Leadership
• Provide inspirational and ambitious leadership, securing the development of a high-performing culture and a strong sense of community within a developing school.
• As one of the members of Principals of school, working closely with other Principals to define the aims, policies and strategic direction of the school, providing regular, transparent analyses of performance to assist the board in carrying out its duties
• Work closely with colleagues responsible for marketing and admissions to ensure that the school attracts and recruits students who have potential with good performance

Academic
• Establish an inspiring and well-rounded educational vision befitting the school’s status and intended position as a leading foreign school in China
• Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff, enabled by appropriate professional development and an evidence-based quality assurance programme
• Determine, implement and monitor appropriate pastoral provision for the school, ensuring the wellbeing of each student
• Ensure that students are equipped to matriculate to the leading universities throughout the world
Personnel
• In line with the school strategic plan, build a leadership team motivated, empowered and equipped to fulfil the ambitious aims for the school
• Secure appropriate professional development for staff underpinned by a proactive approach to talent management and succession planning
• Establish clear performance management and appraisal practices throughout the school

Community
• Maintain a strong presence within the school community and a high-profile within the local community
• Ensure that stakeholder feedback is captured, and their views factored into improvement planning
• Work with relevant colleagues within the school’s leadership team to ensure that the school maintains a constructive relationship with relevant governmental authorities

Qualifications and Experience
• Academic degrees and professional certificates gained from a leading university and strong professional development pertinent to this position
• At least five years’ leadership experience with a strong track record of success
• Experience or willingness working in different cultural contexts with understanding or direct experience of school leadership in China
• Experience teaching/administering at various grade levels, K-12, with an understanding of the needs of students at each stage of their educational journey. Preference in high school level.
• Experience leading school growth and development
• Experience of International Baccalaureate program authentication and management.
