Currently, three (3) full-time teaching positions are now available on the SANDA University campus in Jiashan, near Shanghai (with free bus transportation available). Starting on September 4th for Teacher orientation and the Fall Semester begins September 11, 2023.
The teaching involves general TEFL style delivery of first-year college students, studying a range of majors, which may include (non) and English majors.
Teacher Expectations & Overview:
- Teaching Oral English to classes of 15 - 40+ university students.
- Twelve to fifteen 90-minute classes per week.
- Maximizing teaching shift efficiency to avoid split schedules.
- All classes scheduled Monday -Friday 8:15 am – 3:50 pm.
- Teacher are required on campus (through provided transportation) 15 minutes prior to the class.
- Comfortable office space available, with desktop PC and desktop PC in classrooms.
- Curriculum established, although your teaching style may be incorporated into the lessons.
- Curriculum design skills required.
- Opportunities to facilitate in English Corner and other English competitions.
Company Details:
Early Birds is a well established organization that works directly with universities and public schools in Shanghai. We offer a friendly and professionally efficient environment. Open to teachers in the surrounding provinces of Shanghai and abroad.
Qualifications:
- Hold a university Bachelor degree (or higher)
- Hold a TEFL certificate (Teaching Certifications)
- Native speaker of English or fluency skills
- Minimum 2-years of teaching experience
- Comfortable with standardized technology
- Be at least 24 years of age (Shanghai province visa law requirement)
Compensation:
- 10-month contract, starting September 1st, 2023.
- Visa assistance directly provided for transition to team.
- 17,000 RMB per calendar month (12500 basic salary + 4500 housing allowance).
- Cost effective (nice and low housing costs) if residing in Jiashan.
- One week (7 nights) offered in a hotel and help to find permanent accommodation provided, if you are an international candidate.
- Up to the potentially of 5,000 RMB end-of-contract bonus (related to performance).
- Travel allowance up to 4,000 RMB per year.
½ paid upon completion of 1st semester in full, ½ upon completion of contract.
- Paid supplemental accidental insurance.
- Paid winter vacation between semesters. (4-5 weeks paid holiday, ideal to visit the country)
- Bilingual staff to assist with housing/cultural issues.
- Team focused on positive morale and development.
