Freelance Translator-MTPE &Translation & Proofreading

In order to meet the translation needs of our international clients, we are currently looking to expand our database of freelance linguists who translates:

From English into Irish in the following field/specialization:

Marketing
Corporation Communication

Job Description

In this job, you will collaborate with our Project Managers to work and complete translation projects for the above-mentioned subject matters.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and native level proficiency in Irish.
Specialized in marketing and corporation communication translation.
Able to use CAT tools.
MUST having experience in Machine Translation Post Editing.
Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar.
Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines.
Minimum weekly output: 15,000 words.

Candidates MUST also have any ONE of the following:

A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education;
2 years of translation experience and a college degree;
5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or
A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Applicants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete a Translation test, an MTPE test and a Proofreading test respectively, and will not be paid.
