RESPONSIBILITIES
This position combines the responsibilities of an IT Support Specialist and a System Administrator, corresponding to Infrastructure and IT Operations areas, and allowing flexibility to address a diverse range of IT tasks within our organization. The workload for each aspect of the role may vary based on business needs, and the successful candidate will seamlessly transition between these responsibilities as required, ensuring the efficient operation of our IT infrastructure and the support of end-users.
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users (employees), addressing hardware, software, and network issues;
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported IT problems in a timely and efficient manner;
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining end-user workstations and peripherals;
- Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications and operating systems;
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to resources;
- Educate end-users on basic IT procedures and best practices;
- Monitor and respond to IT helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when needed;
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and equipment;
- Manage and maintain virtual servers, ensuring high availability and performance;
- Configure and monitor network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs;
- Administer and troubleshoot issues related to operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux);
- Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery procedures;
- Monitor system and network security, implement security policies, and respond to security incidents;
- Install and maintain server-based applications, including email servers, web servers, and database servers;
- Implement system updates, patches, and upgrades as necessary;
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers for hardware and software support;
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, procedures, and industry standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Your main focus will be building, maintaining and improving current IT processes and systems. This role will require good troubleshooting skills, interest in learning how to make IT facilitate better efficiency, and an interest in being part of a young, dynamic company with great possibility for growth.

HARD SKILLS:

- Proficiency in operating systems, including Windows and MacOS (and Android and iOS);
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols;
- Strong analytical skills with a continuous process improvement approach;
- Knowledge working under Agile Project Management environments, preferably Kanban and Scrum, and other options like RUP, Prince 2, etc;
- Exposure to enterprise software systems, preferably Odoo ERP, and other alternatives like Zoho, Salesforce, SAP, etc;
- Enough technical knowledge to understand feasible technology requirements and estimates
- Experience of project management tools such Odoo Project (preferably), optionally Jira and/or Asana.
- Knowledge working under collaborative and productivity tools such a Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and similar
- Basic system security concepts (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery;
- Enough knowledge using IT service management process under related-frameworks, preferably ITIL, - and/or others.
- Website development and administration knowledge is a plus [IT Dept.]:
- Programming languages such as basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
- Platforms such as WordPress
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
We understand that some of the skills described above might require some time to learn. But in order to be successful in this role, you will need to quickly understand current systems, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and to be able to clearly and confidently explain issues and shortfalls to non-technical people. As you will be working with minimal supervision and guidance, the ability to take initiative where required to find IT solutions is required.
- At least, 2 years experience in IT Operation Supervisor role (customer end-user support and system administrator)
- Previous experience working with support teams, different service levels and needs (cross-functional involvement)
- Bachelor's degree in Computing area (e.g.majors in Computer Science, Information Technology, related ones (or equivalent with required work experience);
- Good spoken English language; optional basic Chinese language
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- IT Project Management knowledge is a plus [PMO Dept.];
- IT-related/technical aspects of Marketing a plus. Other IT or non-IT related tasks for that [Marketing Dept.] (depending on the interests and capabilities of the person), according to marketing strategies activities like
o Newsletters scheduling management (Email marketing strategy)
o Email templates (including signatures) maintenance (Content marketing strategy)
o SEO content management (Search engine optimization strategy)
