1.Working Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 hours per day;
2.Position: Head of English (IB PYP);

Job Description

1.Develop a progressive and effective English (ESL) curriculum from KG-G6, that fits with IB PYP standards and the Chinese National Curriculum (CNC) local requirements;
2.Observe and evaluate the teaching quality of the English teaching team;
3.Be involved in the recruitment and review of potential new teachers;
4.Provide mentoring, training, and support for the English teaching team;
5.Collaborate with PYPC’s with regards to standards, education and operation;
6.Develop the PYP English curriculum to successfully integrate into the MYP for seamless and logical progression for students;
7.Deliver consistently high-quality English classes;
8.Develop and deliver exemplar classes for peer observation and teacher development;
9.Identify appropriate activities and competitions for students to participate/compete in each year;
10.Make sure that internal data and student management systems are kept up to date and that data is used to drive data-based decision making;

Requirements

1.Bachelor's degree or above (Master’s degree of above preferred/ major in English or Education is a plus);
2.Clear criminal background check;
3.At least 5 years working experience in international and diversified basic education industry; More than 2 years’ experience in a management role;
4.Many years of IB experience and training experience, IB management experience is preferred;

Salary and Benefits

1.Basic salary 40,000 RMB before tax per month based on experience and qualifications;
2.Housing allowance 3,000RMB ;
3.Work visa provided;
4.Health insurance provided;
5.Flight reimbursement up to 10,000 RMB yearly upon contract completion;
6.Relocation fee 2,000 RMB available;
7.2years contract completion bonus：5% annually salary;
8.Free tuition for up to 2 dependents;
9.Holidays:
- All Chinese statutory holidays
- Around 3 weeks of Winter vacation fully paid
- Around 4 weeks of Summer vacation fully paid
- Around 1 week of Spring break fully paid
*Holiday schedule changes according to school calendar
