Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution
Lead end-to-end project management for automotive inspection tools/gauges, from RFQ (Request for Quotation) to delivery, ensuring alignment with client specifications (e.g., GD&T, CAD models), timelines, and budgets.
Develop detailed project plans (scope, milestones, resources, risks) using tools like MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, QA/QC) and overseas suppliers to meet project deliverables.
2. Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for international clients (OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers) in regions such as Europe, North America, or Asia-Pacific.
Manage client expectations, negotiate contracts, and resolve technical or commercial disputes.
Conduct regular progress reviews and present reports to senior management and clients.
3. Technical Oversight
Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and client-specific requirements (e.g., PPAP, APQP).
Review design proposals, inspection tool validation reports, and measurement data (CMM, FARO Arm) to ensure accuracy.
Troubleshoot issues related to gauge design, manufacturing, or on-site installation.
4. Risk & Compliance
Identify and mitigate risks (logistics delays, cultural/language barriers, regulatory compliance) in cross-border projects.
Ensure adherence to export/import regulations (e.g., INCOTERMS, customs documentation).
5. Cost & Budget Control
Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation to achieve profitability targets.
Analyze cost variations and propose corrective actions.
6. Continuous Improvement
Drive process optimization for international projects (e.g., lean manufacturing, digital tools for remote collaboration).
Share best practices across global teams to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. PMP/PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years in project management within automotive tooling, metrology, or precision manufacturing. Experience with cross-cultural teams is required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks) and GD&T interpretation.
Knowledge of inspection tool design, CMM programming, and measurement systems analysis (MSA).
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills in English (additional languages like German/Mandarin are advantageous).
Adaptability to work across time zones and navigate cultural differences.
Strong problem-solving under pressure.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
On-time delivery rate (>95%).
Client satisfaction score (CSAT) ≥4.5/5.
Project margin adherence (±5% of target).
