Position: English Teacher – TOEFL, IELTS & Literature
Location: Baoshan District, Shanghai

Salary Range: ¥22,000 – ¥30,000 RMB/month (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced native English-speaking teacher to join our English
department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching TOEFL and IELTS
preparation courses, as well as high school literature classes. This role is ideal for someone
passionate about language development, literary analysis, and helping students succeed in both
academic and standardized English contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses, focusing on all four skill areas: reading,
writing, listening, and speaking
• Plan and deliver engaging literature classes using a range of texts, including novels,
plays, poetry, and essays
• Create and adapt lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials to support a
variety of learners
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve test-taking strategies and
literary understanding
• Monitor student progress and implement targeted support where needed
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings, professional
development, and school activities
Qualifications:
• Native English speaker
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Teaching certification and/or TESOL/TEFL qualification (CELTA or equivalent
preferred)
• At least 2 years of experience teaching TOEFL, IELTS, and/or high school literature
• Strong classroom management, communication, and curriculum development skills
• Commitment to student growth, academic rigor, and a learner-centered approach
Preferred:
• Experience in international or bilingual school settings
• Familiarity with academic writing instruction and exam prep techniques
• Ability to support students preparing for university admissions in English-speaking
countries
