Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery
Plan, prepare, and deliver high - quality A-Level Drama lessons that align with the syllabus requirements, covering areas such as dramatic theory, performance techniques, script analysis, and theatrical history.
Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including practical workshops, group discussions, and theoretical lectures, to cater to different learning styles and ensure comprehensive understanding of drama concepts.
Guide students in analyzing and interpreting dramatic texts, from classic plays to contemporary works, and support them in developing their own creative responses and original scripts.
Student Assessment
Design and implement effective assessment strategies for A-Level Drama, including practical performances, written coursework, and oral presentations.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress, helping them to identify areas for improvement and set achievable goals.
Prepare students thoroughly for A-Level Drama examinations, including mock exams, exam technique training, and portfolio development.
Extra - curricular Activities
Organize and direct school - level theatrical productions, such as plays, musicals, and drama festivals, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents on stage.
Lead drama clubs, workshops, and masterclasses outside of regular lesson times, encouraging students to explore their interests in drama beyond the curriculum and develop their teamwork and leadership skills.
Collaborate with other arts departments (e.g., music, dance) to create interdisciplinary arts projects and events that enrich the school's cultural and artistic environment.

Requirements
Qualifications
A relevant bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in education (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is highly desirable.
A-Level teaching experience, preferably with a track record of helping students achieve excellent results in A-Level Drama examinations.
Skills and Attributes
Strong practical drama skills, including performance, directing, and scriptwriting.
