Vacancies: International school English Drama Teacher ;
Location: Jinqiao, Pudong New Area;
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am--4:30pm;
Students age: 12--15 years old ;
Class Size 20-25 students per classes;
Arrival time: February 2022;
Salary and Benefits:
23000--30000 per month by negotiation(paid in all holidays);

Requirements:
1.Teach Middle School English drama as assigned.
2.Involve written drama work from time to time. Responsible for marking students’ work and providing them with the necessary feedback, criticism, encouragement and support.
3.Responsible for helping students prepare for crucial examinations and directing end-of-year English drama report shows.
4.Work together with English teachers to build students’ strong English proficiency. Work collaboratively with other colleagues in the Middle School and across division.
5.Keep drama skills fresh. Required to keep up-to-date on new teaching methods and developments in the curriculum.
6.Design a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Maintain lesson plans, semester plans and notes on learning and goals.
7.Maintain an actively engaged classroom environment. Assess and document student work.
8.Instruct and assess students and parents about student performance and behavior. Participate in parent teacher conferences as necessary.
9.Sustain frequent contact with students and parents about student performance and behavior. Participate in parent teacher conferences as necessary.
10.Serve as an adviser and complete all activities and assignments related to this role.
11.Share in duties like office clean-up, advisory service projects and other such tasks.
12.Be willing to help plan chaperone students off campus experiences.
13.Participate in school events as requested by Principal of the Middle School.
14.Attend and support after-school activities and programs. (e.g. theater and class program)
15.Support the School’s commitment to diversity and multicultural education.
16.Complete required H.R. training each year.
17.Attend English Department meetings the Head of English Department called.
Job Qualification:
1.Bachelor degree, master degree preferred.
2.English Native speaker preferred.
3.Ability to use creative, interactive and engaging teaching methods, such as games, role-play, storytelling, hot seating and tableaux.
4.Enjoy working with and have a thorough understanding of the specific developmental needs of teenagers.
5.Experience with technological resources that enhance student learning and assessment.
6.Ability to use a variety of assessment techniques and to demonstrate strong instructional and classroom management skills.
7.Passion, compassion, flexibility and collaboration.
8.Good organizational and communication skills.
9.Ability to work effectively in challenging and stressful situations.
10.Helps students develop interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities through group interaction and artistic collaboration.

Established in June 2002, Shanghai Brisbane Education Training Centre (SBETC) is a joint educational venture between Shanghai Huacheng Foreign Language Training Centre and Tengda International Industries Pty. Ltd. (Est 1996). SBETC currently holds the “Chinese-Foreign Cooperative-Run School” license granted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
To date over 10,000 teenagers have participated in our overseas study tour/arts & music programs. More than 5,000 teachers have attended our teacher training programs during the past decade, both in China and overseas. Our most recent achievements include: the “2010 Shanghai World Expo Music Festival” commissioned by the Shanghai World Expo Event Department. We invited the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra to Brisbane in 2009 to celebrate 20 years of Queensland-Shanghai Sister State Relationship. We initiated the participation of six Chinese schools at the Australia International Music Festival held in Sydney in July 2009. Since 2001 we have attracted many young talented musicians from overseas to perform at the Australia Music Festival.
SBETC has championed the cause of international education and exchange for many years, convinced that students with international experience and a global perspective are crucial for the development and welfare of our modern world.
Our managing director, Mr Edgar Qian, travelled the world to forge many exchange agreements with leading universities and other prominent educational institutions for the purpose of encouraging and strengthening cultural relations and intellectual cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and other countries..
