Position Overview:
Wuhan Kangli Senior High School is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Language Extension Department. As the HOD, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of our institution by overseeing curriculum development, teaching excellence, and student learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and compile comprehensive course syllabi for language programs.
- Select and develop school-based textbooks and educational materials.
- Participate in the recruitment process to hire qualified language teachers.
- Monitor and ensure high standards and quality of teaching.
- Track and report on teaching progress in alignment with curriculum goals.
- Conduct academic research to enhance teaching practices.
- Organize and participate in professional development activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to new teachers.
- Create and manage teaching resources to support effective instruction.
- Oversee the selection, usage, and maintenance of textbooks.
- Analyze student academic performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and administer assessments including exam creation, grading, and analysis.
- Provide support to enhance students' learning experiences and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to support school-wide initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or above in English or an education-related major.
- Proven experience in international curriculum development and educational material creation.
- A strong background in international English teaching with experience in quality supervision and academic research.
- Excellent organizational and mentoring skills.
- Ability to analyze academic performance and create effective assessments.
- Strong collaboration skills for cross-departmental support.
