Responsibilities:
- Conduct face-to-face and online assessments through detailed conversations, interviews, and observations to determine appropriate testing or examination.
- Diagnose clients’ mental and emotional disorders.
- Create effective treatment plans that include counselling, medication, or other services.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized goals.
- Regularly review and discuss treatment plans with clients to identify areas for improvement.
- Educate clients on appropriate coping mechanisms to manage challenging situations.
- Maintain detailed records of clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct group counselling sessions when required.
- Collaborate with Safe Space™, the Counselling Team, and other stakeholders on projects.
- Provide advice, direction, and support on clinical matters to Safe Space™.
- Assist with general and project-related administrative and logistics duties.

This job has specific requirements you’ll need to meet to be eligible for consideration. Check the following before applying.

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a professional counsellor
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing) & deep understanding of Chinese culture
Superb verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese
Ability to empathize with clients and create a safe, culturally sensitive environment
