Senior Quality Engineer / QA-QC Inspector
Control of industrial equipment manufacturing at factories in China

Salary: 18,000 CNY during the probation period; 20,000 CNY per month; after taxes (net)

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Shuangtian is a team of engineers and specialists in foreign economic activity and industrial cooperation with an office in Qingdao. The company was officially founded in 2024 and helps industrial clients from Russia, the CIS countries, and the Middle East build cooperation with manufacturing enterprises in China.
We maintain our own register of verified manufacturers, organize supply chains, and manage turnkey projects: from market analysis, technical audits of factories, and adaptation of documentation to placing orders, controlling deadlines, budget, and quality, shipment, customs clearance, and logistics. The company’s portfolio includes heat exchange, column, reactor, and boiler equipment, water treatment and desalination units, pumps, instrumentation, shut-off and control valves, metal products, flanges, and items manufactured according to customer drawings.

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
To ensure independent quality control of equipment manufacturing throughout the entire project implementation period — from incoming inspection of materials to shipment of finished products — and to guarantee that the equipment complies with the technical specification, working drawings, GOST, ASME, and the terms of the contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality planning and reporting
■ Development of a quality plan (ITP/QCP) for each project, defining control points, Hold Points, and Witness Points.
■ Development of quality reporting documentation forms and their completion during project implementation.
■ Maintaining the quality plan in an up-to-date state: recording inspection results, the status of comments, and their resolution.
■ Organizing and conducting, when necessary, joint acceptance with client inspectors in accordance with the inspection plan and hold points.
■ Conducting audits of manufacturing plants using checklists together with client representatives, and preparing audit reports.

Incoming inspection of materials and documentation
■ Incoming inspection of raw materials, metal products, blanks, purchased components, and materials.
■ Verification of quality certificates, passports, MTC/MTR, and accompanying documentation.
■ Comparison of chemical analysis and mechanical properties according to certificates with the materials actually received; control of grades, heats, and batch numbers.
■ Verification of material compliance with the requirements of the technical specification, drawings, GOST, and ASME; control of material traceability to the finished product.

Manufacturing control
■ Verification of overall, connecting, and precise dimensions after machining.
■ Operational inspection of products during manufacturing according to the agreed ITP/QCP and control points.
■ Control of product assembly for compliance with GOST and ASME; verification of geometry, alignment, and assemblability.
■ Participation in pre-inspection meetings and preparation of the plant for customer and third-party inspections.

Welding and non-destructive testing
■ Verification of welding for compliance with Russian GOST, ASME requirements, and the weld map.
■ Control of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, welding materials, welding modes, heat treatment, and welding logs.
■ Control of visual inspection, ultrasonic and radiographic testing, as well as penetrant and magnetic particle testing — where applicable.
■ Verification of NDT conclusions, control of repair of welded joints, and repeated inspection.

Testing and acceptance
■ Control of mechanical tests, strength and tightness tests, hydraulic and pneumatic tests.
■ Verification of test benches, measuring instruments and their calibration, protocols, and reports.
■ Participation in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and acceptance of equipment before shipment, closing the punch list.

Finished products, completeness, and shipment
■ Control of finished products: shut-off and control valves, pumping equipment, instrumentation and automation; verification against the technical specification and confirmation of compliance.
■ Verification of assemblability and completeness of products according to the technical specification, specifications, and packing list.
■ Final control of finished equipment, packaging, preservation, fastening, and marking.
■ Preparation of inspection reports with photo documentation, NCRs, lists of comments, and control of their elimination.

REQUIREMENTS
■ Technical education (mechanical engineering, welding production, metallurgy, materials science, chemical or power engineering).
■ Work experience in QA/QC, QCD, or technical supervision in the manufacture of industrial equipment — at least 5 years.
■ Full understanding of working drawings, specifications, weld maps, and technical specifications.
■ Knowledge of GOST and/or the ability to quickly navigate them; understanding of ASME requirements; knowledge of GB/GB-T is an advantage.
■ Practical knowledge of welding technology, NDT methods, and the procedure for equipment testing.
■ Readiness for strict verification of documentation and the actual condition of products against requirements.
■ Chinese language — not lower than HSK 4; fluent Russian; English is an advantage.

Personal and managerial competencies
■ Experience in managing contractors to ensure the required quality.
■ Ability to plan one’s time and build a task plan to meet project deadlines.
■ Ability to defend one’s position, identify violations, and substantiate them with evidence — references to standards, drawings, and measurement results.
■ Experience working in a team; interaction with client technical specialists and one’s own team from Russia and other countries.
■ Readiness for frequent business trips to manufacturing plants.

■ Salary of 18,000 CNY during the probation period; 20,000 CNY per month after taxes (net).
